Snow Tour + Beijing
DAY 01:
SINGAPORE/BEIJING/SHENYANG
(L/D)
Assemble
at Changi international airport for flight from Singapore to Shenyang
via Beijing. Upon arrival, visit Wulihe Park, the exterior of Wulihe
Stadium, Sun-bird Square, Beishi Square and the Statue of twelve
emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties.
DAY 02:
SHENYANG (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the Imperial Palace of Shenyang. It
is a mini-Forbidden City in layout, the main structures were started by
Nurhachi and completed in 1636 by his son, Huang Taiji. The palace
functions as a museum, with exhibitions of ivory and jade artefacts,
furniture, and Ming and Qing paintings. There is a decent display of
enamels and ceramics and an excellent collection of musical instruments.
Next, proceed to the Qing Street as well as the former residence of
General Zhang Xueliang. Taste Liao Cuisine at lunch. After lunch, visit
the Shengjing Zhao Tomb.
DAY 03:
SHENYANG/CHANGCHUN
(B/L/D)
After
breakfast, depart to Changchun by coach. After lunch, visit the
Jingyuetan Skiing Resort, it’s an ideal place for people to learn ski
(inclusive of the main entrance fee only). After that, back to city,
proceed to the Cultural Square, it’s the largest city square in
Changcun, a sculpture of the sunbird stands in the centre. Next, proceed
to the eight Department of the Puppet “Manchukuo”, built in 1938 on
Xinmin street, it’s a Japanese-style building, visit it’s outer
part. Taste Ji cuisine at dinner.
DAY 04:
CHANGCHUN/JILIN/CHANGCHUN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, take coach to Jilin city to visit the
famous Ice-Rimmed Trees. The bank of Songhua Jiang offer up a
spectacular wonderland scene during the winter months when the branches
of pine and willow trees are covered in needle-like hoarfrost. The trees
may be the most popular sight in Jilin, the 20km stretch from the lake
to the city centre provides ample viewing for all. Next, proceed to
Songhua Jiang Road, Century Square as well as
We Miao Temple. This
temple is also known as the Confucius Temple (Kong Miao). Temples
dedicated to Confucius were built so that the great sage would bestow
good luck on local hopefuls taking the notorious difficult imperial
examinations. After lunch, back to Changcun to visit the Changchun Film
City. It’s the first film
studio of China and becomes a tourist attraction and a film-shooting
base characterized by the film culture and art. The film city with
structures in Chinese and foreign architectural styles is a unique
tourist spot of high entertainment value.
DAY 05: CHANGCHUN/HAERBIN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, take coach to Haerbin. After lunch, visit the
Flood-control Tower, take place in Songhua Jiang ice sports and watch
the winter-swimming show. Next. Proceed to Zhaolin Park to watch
ice-light exhibition.
DAY 06: HAERBIN
(B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit Stalin Park, it’s a
perambulating zone down by the river, is dotted with statues and
recreation clubs for the locals. Continue to the Square of Church of St
Sophia, the church was built
by the Russians in 1907. The square provides an enjoyable place to
people-watch while listening to the classic Russian music that drifts
from the church. Next, proceed to Sun Island Park to watch a
snow-carving exhibition.
