9D Kunming/Dali/Lijiang/Shangri-la

DAY 01: SINGAPORE/KUNMING/STONE FOREST (MOB/L/D)
Assemble at Changi International Airport for your flight to the capital of Yunnan Province – Kunming, which is often called “The City of Eternal Spring” because of its pleasant temperate climate. Upon arrival, visit Jiuxiang Karta Caves, a fantastic cavern with groups of gigantic karsts grottoes. Be amazed by many stalactites, stalagmites, stone flowers, stone pillars and stone waterfalls all in interesting formations. For better scenery, you can take a boat to appreciate better. After the visit, we will coach to Stone Forest.

DAY 02: STONE FOREST/KUNMING (B/L/D)
Today, you will tour Stone Forest. It is a massive collection of gray limestone pillars, spilt by train water and eroded to their present fanciful forms, the tallest standing 30 meters high. Marine fossils found in the area suggest that it was once under the sea. The strange shapes, some in solitary loftiness, while others in clusters, create a unique “fairyland” feel. After the visit, we will coach back to Kunming.

DAY 03: KUNMING/DALI (B/L/D)
This morning, board a domestic flight to Dali. Dali lies on the western edge of Erhai Lake at an altitude of 1900 meters, with the imposing Cangshan mountain range (average 4000 meters) behind it. Upon arrival, sit on a boat to visit Erhai Lake, which covers 250sq.km with the shape of a human ear. After which, visit Three Pagodas of Dali, the pagodas look pretty, especially when seen reflected in the nearby lake. They are, in fact among the oldest standing structures in south-western China. Next, proceed to Butterfly Spring. Continue to visit Zhoucheng Township. It contains the largest ethnic Bai people in Dali area. Proceed to Xizhou and Dali Old Town. Within the Old Town, there are well-preserved traditional houses of the Bai people. The ‘Foreigners Street’ is the favorite place of the overseas visitors to relax. Enjoy the Three-course Tea performance.

DAY 04: DALI/LIJIANG (B/L/D)
After breakfast, coach to Lijiang, which is bordering Tibet with its spectacular mountain back-drop. Upon arrival, visit the Rectangular Street in the center of the Lijiang Old Town. The town is crisscrossed by rivulets and the streets are paved with colorful stone labs which are free of mud or dust either in raining or dry seasons. Continue to Black Dragon Pool.

DAY 05: LIJIANG (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which soars 5500 meters above Lijiang and is snow-capped all year round. You will take cable car to tour “Third Jade Dragon Kingdom” – Yunshanping. Continue to visit Ganhaizi and Yufeng Temple where a 500 years old camellia tree is the highlight of the temple. 
 

DAY 06: LIJIANG/SHANGRI-LA (B/L/D)
After breakfast, coach to the mysterious Shangri-la. Along the way, enjoy the spectacular view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
of Lijiang and Haba Snow Mountain of Shangri-la. Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the First Bend of the Yangtze River - China’s greatest river. It is located at Shigu. Down the road, you will see more beautiful scenery.

DAY 07: SHANGRI-LA (B/L/D)
This morning, visit the largest Tibetan Lamasery –
Songzanlin Monastery which was built 300 years ago under the instruction of the 5th Dalai Lama, now there are still 800 monks and 3 living buddhas inside.
Next, pay a visit to a Tibetan family. Also visit Pita Lake to enjoy the view of the vast pastures of the grassland.

DAY 08: SHANGRI-LA/KUNMING (B/L/D)
This morning, take a domestic flight back to Kunming. Upon arrival, visit Kunming fresh flowers market.

DAY 09: KUNMING/SINGAPORE (B/L/MOB)
After breakfast, free at leisure till assemble time for your flight back to Singapore.
